Concerned about accuracy and security

Excellent price for a very useful device. See real-time/real-time power consumption and total power meter, saved even after power off. Three main questions; 1) There are no instructions, and while there are very few bugs, more detailed documentation would be useful. Read the reviews to find out how to install it. 2) It should come with a suitably sized bezel or have the additional option to mount in a standard 2 post wall box so I don't have to cut a hole manually. 3) Longer wires and better locking of current transformer when opening and closing. The only other problem I have is something very cryptic. Despite numerous reviews accusing the device of being very accurate, you will find that the display does not follow the basic formula watts = volts * amps. When it says you have 120v and draw 1.00 amp the wattage should show as 120w but scroll through the images and you will see that this is almost never the case. My only guess is that watts is an average over a short period of time and possibly amps. is an instantaneous value, but it's still confusing. For example in the picture above; if it were actually 1.6 amps at 247 volts, that would equate to 395 watts, but the meter reads 62.3 at this point (numbers always change with load, of course). hot-hot-neutral) in a 50 amp circuit. It's also a bit annoying to connect thick-walled (thin) wires from the 50-amp circuit to the tiny power meter terminals. It has an internal fuse, but it still seems like a fragile connection for such a large circuit.
