Description of 💡 bayite AC 80-260V Digital Power Energy Analyzer with Current Voltage Meter and Open-Close Split Core CT

The meter can only measure the active power(real power). It doesn't show Apparent power. If you measure power from a DC-AC inverter, please make sure it's PURE SINE WAVE. Otherwise the meter can be burnt or melted. Voltage test range: One-Phase 80~260V AC Power, 50/60HZ. Store energy data when power off(can be reset). Large-screen LCD (display voltage, current, active power, energy at the same time). The blue backlight can be turned on/off manually.

Self RESET after power off

The description states that the device saves data when the power is switched off. I had this plugged in for three days, yesterday evening the power went out, when the power came back, the device did NOT keep the measured consumption of the first three days of operation. The button to delete data was NOT PRESSED, so don't even think about blaming me for it. This device simply did not perform its advertised function. The device readings for a purely resistive load are approx. 10% higher. The…

Works perfectly! very satisfied

connected to heat pump, works perfectly. Cut a hole in my circuit board to mount the display. I put both lead wires through the current transformers, one forward and the other backward. and the power supply connected to one side and neutral so that the power is read correctly, kW and kWh, the current shown on the display must be divided by 2 and the voltage multiplied by 2. This can be solved by connecting a precise 10 ohm shunt resistor through CT, but that's not a problem, I want to see kWh…

They work great. good for testers

They work so well that I built them into a plastic panel as a portable meter for three-phase measurements. The current calibration is maybe 5% less than my gun, but close enough. Since these meters can't combine and calculate 3PH wattage, I take the largest amp/current product and multiply it by 1.732 (that's the square root of 3, BTW) to get an accurate estimate of actual wattage. I put switches in the voltage circuit to measure phase-to-earth or phase-to-phase voltage. I am planning to get…

FIRE HAZARD! Electric shock hazard!

I have bought one of these and two other brands. They are all the same and share the same problem that makes them fire hazards, as a reviewer shows in a review photo. I've used it to measure 220V current loads. The downside is that it supplies 220V to the CT wires. That's not how they're supposed to work. The CT wires should be low voltage, just under 15 and most likely under 0.3 volts. The CT can become hot and cause a fire. If you don't know, you can get an electric shock from the cords if…

Works great, looks great!

I had to mount a panel almost 12 feet (because the wiring was done) from the converter in my RV to the main control panel and I routed the voltage sensor and CT sensor cables with Belden 8723 060100 Cable. Shielded, 22 AWG, stranded, chrome-plated PVC, 3.2" H x 1.7" W x 1.8" D, and this wire protects the low-level CT signal well from stray currents (and voltages Belden cable is routed in 3/8" flexible tubing for added security (both for me and my insurance - Belden wire is not intended for…

Concerned about accuracy and security

Excellent price for a very useful device. See real-time/real-time power consumption and total power meter, saved even after power off. Three main questions; 1) There are no instructions, and while there are very few bugs, more detailed documentation would be useful. Read the reviews to find out how to install it. 2) It should come with a suitably sized bezel or have the additional option to mount in a standard 2 post wall box so I don't have to cut a hole manually. 3) Longer wires and better…

Good little device at a great price

It's easy to use and easy to connect. I like the terminal block for connections. The device has two separate functions and two separate circuits. One is the Current Transformer (CT) which reads amps no matter what voltage is used to power it. The voltmeter circuit on the other pair of terminals is used for the other three functions. You can disconnect it from any voltage within the allowable range, and it doesn't have to match the voltage of the line being monitored. Note, however, that the…
