I have bought one of these and two other brands. They are all the same and share the same problem that makes them fire hazards, as a reviewer shows in a review photo. I've used it to measure 220V current loads. The downside is that it supplies 220V to the CT wires. That's not how they're supposed to work. The CT wires should be low voltage, just under 15 and most likely under 0.3 volts. The CT can become hot and cause a fire. If you don't know, you can get an electric shock from the cords if you touch them while it's plugged in. since it will show up as zero, like measuring at two points on the same wire. Either way, this is a serious manufacturing defect or an unacceptable design. FWIW I liked these things until I discovered the problem. I got lucky and found this out because they caused stray induced voltages on other wires in the same cable.
