Review on πŸ”’ Enhanced Small Slotted Polyurethane Jack Pad Frame Protector for Universal Use by TMB by Michael Dixon

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I also see this as an advantage, as the groove "catches " the presser seam and improves the hold. And that's probably why.

When I ordered this I wanted to use it on my Subaru Forester. The delivery date didn't match the DIY date, so I used a block of wood instead. Fast forward a few weeks and I had a Honda Odyssey to work on so this last one came up. I was surprised to see a lot of compression on this pad. There is no mention of its shore or degree of hardness. I suspect if it were a little heavier it wouldn't shrink as much as I've seen. On the other hand, I also see this as an advantage, since the groove "catches" the pressure weld and improves grip. And that's probably why it freezes in some cases, as other reviewers have pointed out. This has happened to me too, a quick push made it fall back onto the jack mounting surface. What made me give 3 stars is that some of the material came loose from the compression. Again, I doubt the hardness of the material.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Socket required
