Review on 🚚 Reese Carry Power 7054900 TransRack Conduit Carrier: Optimize Your Conduit Transportation by Brian Piecuch

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Satisfactory quality for the truck body and tailgate accessory

I have no intention of using it as a roof rack but I will try to describe it as if I was one. It comes with four U-bolts. for mounting on a frame in stainless steel look. These U-bolts, used in pairs, are run through a 6" PVC pipe (not included) and then the bracket (painted steel) under the post is connected with 2 left or 2 right U-bolts so you don't have a need to drill hole the shelf. Nuts are nylon and zinc plated. Strut length is 5-1/8" and hole spacing is 3-1/2". So if your stance is over 3-1/2 inches, you need to punt jump. Also, the U-bolts only protrude 2-1/4 inches under the tube, so if your rack is thick you may need to re-jump. with stainless steel hexagonal sheet metal screws. It has a spring-loaded latch that you have to pull and twist to open or close. The latch appears to be stainless steel. The door is rubber sealed and comes with a lock. (I wouldn't put too much faith in a gasket or lock) Overall it's functional and durable and works well for my needs. If all the hardware was rust free it would be much better, I see rust spots on the top of your truck in a few years I paid fifty bucks not bad.

Pros

Cons
  • Good but not great
