Review on ๐Ÿ‘ Enhanced Control and Comfort: ESI Grips Extra Chunky MTB Grip by Terry Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Comfortable but not durable

***Update*** I taped the ends and it kept some dangling around and kept them from spoiling. It's been over half a year now and I'll be getting another set soon. I have to admit they are comfortable. If you're clumsy and like me chopping down trees, wrap the end in duct tape so they don't tear when you cut something and they're worth it. ***Original Review*** I bought these grips because I needed something bigger and with some padding to make it easier to pull the trigger tighter. The video makes dressing easier. Once turned on, they go nowhere. They offer some cushioning and really helped with my triggering issues. However, as others have said, they do get slippery if they get wet at all. I do not advise anyone to use them without gloves! I like the wide grip and the comfort. I don't like that they tear easily. If you hit the trees with the steering wheel even a little bit, they break. In my photos you can see the damage from the barely cut wood on each side. (Of course, if I was a better rider, this wouldn't have happened.) The tear on my left grip is very annoying and I'm going to cut it off and replace it with something more permanent.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
