They're not bad for the price, but when you're blocking hits with the pads your fingers tend to bend, allowing you to lessen the impact. They are rigid and do not allow movement or flexing. This caused a lot of pain in my wrists and fingers because I ended up bending the tops of my fingers and grabbing the holes on the side. I made it, but in hindsight it could have injured my hand. They also don't have velcro so the hand sometimes feels like it might slip out. The price is not bad, they did their job. But I will buy heavier ones.
