I used this software to copy family footage from our 8mm camcorder to our computer. The package contains two pieces of software: OBS Studio and Honestech VHS to DVD. I ended up using OBS Studio because I had no intention of burning the movies to DVD - I just wanted to transfer them from tape to my computer where I could do whatever I wanted with them. Either way, install the software, connect the USB cable to your computer, the RCA cables to your camcorder, and you're done. Click Start Recording in the OBS Studio software, then click Play on your camcorder. Movies are copied in real time. I have set my settings to output movies in MKV format. Works perfectly. I haven't had any problems on my Windows 10 computer. You may just need to make a few tweaks to the settings and then do a test recording to make sure the audio and video are working. Much luck!
