As a very satisfied Arlo Pro camera owner, the Arlo Video Doorbell was my first choice. While the Arlo Pro camera is great, the doorbell is not, which is ultimately why I decided to return it. Installation was easy and plugged into my existing Arlo hub. I noticed a very significant delay of about 30 seconds that made the two-way comms unusable. I tried an alternate method of connecting the doorbell directly to my wifi, which reduced the latency to a tolerable 2 seconds. The search has shown that these delays are common. At the time of activation, I assumed a mandatory three-month subscription to Arlo Smart, which includes 30 days of cloud storage for videos, among other things. After some research I found the information on the Arlo website. It's very hidden, after the free trial, the only way to keep free cloud storage is with a paid subscription. By this time, most of the customers have expired the free returns. While it's possible to use local storage connected to an Arlo hub, it won't work due to long video delays.
