I've had this peephole for a long time and I really like it. The sight tube is slightly larger than many others I've reviewed and offers a better field of view. The hinged lid on the peephole is a nice touch. The device remained clean (not fogged up) during various climatic changes: heat, rain and now also frost. Following a suggestion I saw, prior to installing the unit, I applied a thin coat of silicone sealant to the inner and outer flanges to keep moisture out. Since I didn't have the right bit size, I also ordered a TOGU DB-01 1-1/10" (28mm) heat treated HSS drill bit. Our door is made of thin layers of steel with insulation in between. The drill bit cut through the steel with no problems Beat worked best at his own pace. Little or no instructions came with the peephole, if I remember correctly. But there are some very good instructions on YouTube. They helped me a lot. One reviewer complained about the logo on the Peephole cover not in taste I have to disagree Etched on the lid it's almost invisible unless you're really close.
