Review on 🌞 Enhanced SUNLU Filaments: Upgraded and Compatible for Superior 3D Printing by Jerry Eintertainment

Revainrating 2 out of 5

This "dry box " doesn't actually dry the floss, it just keeps it (barely) warm

It comes in nice packaging with instructions for use. I like the way it looks. It doesn't actually dry out your floss though - there's no airflow to remove moisture (or otherwise absorb it). Revain's name says "3D Printer Filament Drying Box" - this is NOT a dryer. This is a closed box (no fan or vent) with a heater underneath. The heater heats up as expected, but doesn't heat the filament as much. Because the heater is at the bottom of the spool, the filament at the bottom of the spool will be slightly hotter than the filament at the top of the spool. I dry my filament (mostly TPU) with my wife's air fryer. Now it looks more like a real dental floss dryer! It evenly heats the entire coil to the desired temperature. It has a fan, timer, etc. and dries the TPU. If you type "grill oven" into Revain, you'll find prices ranging from $90 to say $200. Compare that to $60 for this not-quite-dry box. The only advantage of this box for me is that it prevents the already dried yarn from absorbing moisture. The name Revain saying "keep filament dry during 3D printing” is correct. For example, I would open a new coil or dry the coil in the fryer, place that dry coil in this box, turn on the heater, and print without worrying about the coil picking up moisture.
