Exactly as described

I bought this a few months ago but finally got around to installing it. I wish I was that lazy :) It was fairly easy to put together and even easier to attach to my TV - 50" Sony LED. The "legs" of the mount are quite thin which means they fit easily under my existing wall mounting bars fit without adding much extra space (my mount worked best with them underneath but they also fit some mounts) If you have short screws with your existing wall mount you may need to get a slightly longer one depending on your existing hardware - mine was fine. The only trick with the installation is that you have to pinpoint the position/height before you mount it - there's no way to adjust it up/down once it's fully installed.Use first a tape measure to 'block' it while your TV is still mounted to the wall I've found that's the best way to install consists of laying the TV bottom side down on the bed with the bottom edge resting directly against the edge of the bed itself - then you can easily screw everything in and adjust before tightening. As for the rest, it looks pretty sharp without standing out and fits easily in both my small HTPC box and headphone IR receiver, as well as the Roku 3 without looking cluttered. In fact, everyone who saw it at my house immediately asked me where I could buy it. Love how they designed this shelf, way better than others I've seen. Mind you, it's not that big - it fits in a cable TV box or BD player, two when stacked on top of each other, or a few smaller components like I did, but it doesn't fit in an A/V receiver or something like that (and would look pretty silly if it were at all). For larger components, you'll need one of those two-shelf vertical mounts they also sell.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything great
