Broken block in my rating

I was a monitor fanatic for a while. After 12 days, a faint vertical purple streak began to appear intermittently in the center of the screen. It was intermittent but I returned the monitor for fear it would become permanent. I suspect it was just a defective unit, otherwise the monitor works surprisingly well.
