Excellent idle. My smallest gear had 14 teeth. This one has 11. Surprisingly, the gear ratio changed so much that I was able to go 1-2 miles faster. I have a 7 speed electric bike with a small 300w motor. A little help is enough. I live in Florida where everything is smooth. I'm also 6 feet and 190 pounds. (From what I know now, don't buy anything under 500 watts, more if you live in a hilly area). Anyway, on flat ground with no headwind or engine, I was at top speed (with my old freewheel) and I was pedaling quickly with little resistance. Now with the 11 tooth 7. gear I have more top end resistance and can go a few miles faster. Surprisingly with only 3 teeth reduction in 7th gear. One point though. My chain kept slipping a few teeth until it reached the new freehub. After a few days of driving it stopped. I would suggest adding a new chain when changing to a new ratchet or cassette.
