APC-6 Outlet Wall Mount with Coaxial Cable

The unit is very well made as you would expect from an APC product. Love the fact that I don't have to screw it into the socket to hold it securely in place. The structure is actually inserted at the back so it slides onto the wall plate and rests against the wall giving a very clean look compared to other similar industrial units. Here are just two things that I think could be improved to earn a 5 star rating. 1) While the clearance on either side is very good for accommodating a couple of oddly shaped cell phone or other small electrical device power plugs, I've found that these plugs are usually designed to dangle, APC sockets let that sort of thing go Plugs hang straight out of the device, which is both unsightly and a little disconcerting as some of them are quite heavy to hang in such an uncomfortable way. Another issue is that the sockets are illuminated with a cool blue light, so you can see them when you're trying to plug something in when they're in a dark or poorly lit area, like behind a closet or somewhere else , where your sockets are located . . . Maybe. In my case, my components are wall mounted and the glow of empty candles is enough to serve as a bedtime light. The living room is nice, the bedroom not so much. I've found that using a few child-resistant inserts and plugging into unused outlets tames the glow of up to two LEDs on the front of the unit, which is far less of a concern in our bedrooms. It would have been nice to have some of these included in the kit, but I had enough of these in my litter box to fill my unused jars.

  • Computer Components
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings, everything is fine
