I bought this leash for our second Collie pup because with their round heads they can easily slip out of most collars as long as the collar is not too tight. This sliding leash makes it easy to hold the leash tight enough to prevent it from slipping off the stop so it can't be over tightened making it safer and softer than a standard choke collar. The skin is nice and thick and the number of stops can be increased as the pup grows. My only issue is the round slip ring which allows the leash to rotate too easily. The flatter slip ring keeps the leader straight while still allowing it to slide.
