Review on Akebono ACT866 ProACT Ultra Premium Ceramic by John Douglas

I just changed the brakes from the first of this particular set. Of course I got another set. Installed on my 2012 Dodge Avenger SE. 164,000 miles These pads lasted 3 years for me. I love fishing and it takes me all over the state so I drive a lot. I would like to point out that the ONLY reason I'm replacing them is because my driver's side caliper had a problem and the pads were installed at an angle. Compared to the passenger side, I'm willing to bet these pads will last another 3 years. They are really quiet and smooth. I've had gold level pads from an auto parts store and they've packed more than these. With some pads you can feel that stutter or tremble when you release them an inch forward, they DO NOT do that a bit. Brake dust is also minimal. I live in Colorado, so brake dust means something to me. Combined with dirty dust, this makes life a lot harder than it needs to be. Do not worry about it. In conclusion I can definitely recommend the Akebono brand in general and if they suit your car go get them.
