Don't waste your time and money on this.

This kit looked good and was economical so I decided to give it a try. Taking the test isn't difficult, but you need to find a place to hang it from the ceiling. The problem is with the instructions and how to send the test back to the lab. I read the reviews and decided to pay for faster shipping back to the lab. I then found out that my test was rejected due to the way I had closed the kit. Here are instructions on how to close the package. 3> Seal the kit to ensure no radon leakage. 4> FOLD, close it with the flap to open the tape. 5> REMOVE and remove the tape. 6> Press together to form an airtight seal (remove leaks with tape). If you reverse the valve it is very difficult to get a good seal as it opens on the sides. I removed the flap, about 1/4 inch thick, to allow the tape to stick to the envelope. Bad idea. My test was REFUSED because this small part of the flap was removed. They said this changed the expectation of the sample and would not produce the desired results. Now all they have to do is measure the weight of their test kit without that little 1/4 inch valve, but they're just looking for a reason to reject the sample. I would pay a little more and go for a better tuned test suite. Don't waste time and money.
