Perfect tool for changing a set of wheels and tires

I recently bought a new set of tires and rims from an online store, fitted with a TPMS sensor and balanced. So I knew I had to activate the new sensors and stored them in the car's ECM. First I bought a TS401, but it was only later, after some research, that I realized that this particular device does not allow me to store the IDs of these new sensors in the car's ECM. It can only read/activate the new sensors which work fine on some cars but not mine. Thanks to Revain's excellent service, I was able to cancel my original order before it shipped and re-order the TS508 instead. After registering and updating the device. I'm installing my new set of wheels/tires on my Subaru, scrolling through the menu and find two identical models for my particular car, not knowing what the difference is, I've highlighted one and scanned all the sensors but didn't get any options for those store settings of these sensors in the ECM. So when I tried again using the second model name and rescanning all the sensors I was able to bring up a menu telling me to connect the tool to the ODBII port and I was able to access the settings of those sensors and the dash alert save light went out. .A few minor quirks that do not affect the operation of the scanner. I did not receive a hard case for the TS508 as described, but a smaller soft case instead. Also, I didn't get the round warning tape like in other reviewers' pictures, which I believe is on the front of the scanner to direct the air valve/TPMS sensors to the right spot for scanning. But even without it, the scanner worked perfectly.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Working speed
