I have never turned this product, bought it together with real gold leaf. I wanted to start with a simple gold foil project of two egg squashes. Despite common sense, I used real gold leaf at first. Although this was my first experience with leaves, the product turned out to be excellent. The color was as expected, a deep rich 24k colour. For the second pumpkin I used imitation gold leaf. The color did not look like real gold and was clearly an imitation. I'm not complaining about the price but it just doesn't feel like real gold. The leaves are also much thicker than the real ones. In fact, you can break off small pieces and hold them in your hand (real gold leaf just crumbles). Because the leaves are thick, they are much more difficult to brush off and leave many creases in the final product compared to real gold leaf. Here is a photo of two pumpkins side by side.
