CAPS: The caps are chrome plated plastic and I wasn't expecting that. The description says it's made of heavy duty steel with a chrome finish. Maybe it's my fault for not reading properly, but I think it's a bit misleading. I feel like I might break them if I overtighten them. Although they appear to be airtight and look good. SHAKER HOLES: The holes in the shaker are very small, so only powder can flow through. However, I used a hole punch for the outer holes and am much happier with the distribution for the larger spices. STAND FOR STAND: The stand is a one-piece shiny piece, rock solid and durable. Lids, although plastic, look great on a shelf. GLASS CONTAINERS: Glass containers are very strong and durable. I dropped one from the top of the counter and watched in slow motion as it fell to the floor, expecting it to shatter into a billion pieces. However, the glass is not broken, not even scratches or cracks. I was impressed.
