I really don't think washing records does anything that you can't do by hand with a record cleaner and a good microfiber cloth. I'm glad I didn't pay $80 for the Spin Clean version because I don't think it will be any better than this one. It seems like the two felt pads should be closer together (there is a small gap between them). . While 180g vinyl makes good contact, my standard weight vinyl has a "loose" feel. With this system you need to have 10, 20 or more records ready for cleaning, it's not worth setting up less. March 15, 2019 - After watching Spin Clean videos on YouTube, I know mine is wrong. Spin Clean makes vinyl difficult to flip while cleaning. One person lifted his album out of the bowl and placed the album on the blocks. Spin cleans pads should be much closer. My albums can literally get twisted while cleaning. The pads will not rub when cleaning anything other than 180g vinyl. Two stars already.
