So - I'm cooking beef into chunks for french dip sandwiches. I removed the lid to test the tenderness of the fork when BOOM! The handle breaks off the lid and the swan of the lid dives into the pot of boiling beef, splashing the countertop - and me with boiling hot liquid! OH! I was able to install a short term fix with some ingenuity from MacGyver, but I knew I had just lost the ability to use my favorite 6 liter slow cooker. :-( I searched the internet for information on replacing the lid and might as well have bought a new multi cooker! Replacement lids are expensive! Then I saw a link to these handle replacement kits and looked them up. Wow! They gave me the cost saved brand new multicooker PLUS I have an extra handle in case the same thing happens to one of my other multicookers (don't judge too harshly - I have 4 different sized multicookers) with two handles PLUS Pads and two different length screws for each handle (two full replacement handles) This is a GREAT deal and I would recommend anyone who uses their multi cooker regularly to keep one just in case.
