Reading the 1 star reviews I couldn't help but wonder what these people were doing as some of their comments are definitely wrong; The adapter definitely supports encryption. Again it was a little confusing with the setup. We already have a streaming setup for our Tivo with the old G adapter and apart from the occasional stream rebuffering - this seems more to do with streaming content than network - we haven't had any issues.
