Review on 🌪️ Makita Dust Extracting Nozzle, BSS610 - Enhance Dust Collection Efficiency with the Makita 419283-5 by Corey Vaz

I have a very large collection of Makita 18V power tools for the workshop and garden. I have always appreciated good design and quality from Makita. However, this was the biggest disappointment I have ever had with Makita - they just don't seem to care about this product. Firstly, I'm not sure why this little piece of plastic just wasn't included with the circular saw. -- It's not like we're buying cheap tools when we buy Makita. Secondly, neither the saw nor this attachment comes with the necessary screw for attachment. This is not the usual size available in the US. The screw diameter is fine, but I couldn't find the thread pitch in my big bucket of machine screws (both metric and inch). In the end I had to re-cut the threaded hole. Third, the outlet is exactly the same size as the ends of a regular vacuum hose, so it can't fit into a regular hose end. It had to be a bit bigger to allow the hose to fit through. Now I have to either try to find a coupler for it or somehow connect my vacuum hose to it. Pooh! I do NOT recommend this part unless you are willing to spend a lot of time on bad design.
