Review on Meite Length Galvanized 5000Pcs 1 Large Fasteners for Collated Fasteners by Trey Michaels

Because of the many great reviews, I was happy to test these. I had to send them back because they literally didn't work in my nail gun. I have a new Porter Cable 18ga nail gun. I usually use Porter Cable Pins. Let me tell you it doesn't even compare. Firstly, when I inserted them into my gun, I BARELY had to close the bolt over those Meite nails. Even though I couldn't see the difference with my eyes, it is obvious that there is a difference in nail thickness. I didn't even try to shoot for fear of jamming the gun. I tried that several times if that was my fault. But these nails won't let me close unless I force them to. Which I wasn't willing to close it completely to find out what happened. But these nails are thicker and/or not as uniform as known branded nails and you can immediately tell the difference from branded nails. I don't know what the difference is but this box clearly says 'Meite' so these are Meite branded nails. I sent mine back. Too bad - I was hoping to find a cheaper option for nails. But in this case, the economy was accompanied by some decrease in product quality, which didn't sit well with me.
