I am replacing the front suspension on my 1965 Mustang and needed this tool. I'm halfway through with the restoration and this tool does the job, but I understand why people might want to spend more on a different design. Hooks are difficult to attach to the spring in the desired position. The ones closest to the screw head will need to move down a bit to get the clearance needed to fit them in the center of the spring. Without this, the screw head interferes. For my application, a slightly shorter threaded rod would be better. If I need to do more work on the car's front suspension after a rebuild I can cut the linkage off as the tool is pretty cheap. I would recommend it to those who need it but don't plan to use it often.
