The spirit level is made of metal (probably aluminium) and is clearly machined to be perfectly straight so it will last as well as a spirit level can serve as a ruler. Handles and tips are made of high quality non-slip rubber. The handles in the middle of the level are large enough to put on gloves. The bubble appears to be encased in a yellow vial, which in turn appears to be molded from hard plastic. The vials are unlikely to leak or break. The product is labeled "Made in Germany", but this can only be seen in the quality. In fact, I love it so much I'll probably buy the 24/59 level set too."
