It's not the noisiest air tool I've ever used, but it's inherently noisy and cutting metal isn't a quiet activity. WARNING: Do not use cheap imported cut-off wheels with this tool. These cheap wheels are made for low speed cheap imported cutting tools. This is a really high RPM tool and a broken cheap wheel can ruin your face or more. Buy a quality handlebar from 3M, SAIT, Pearl or Walter Zip. Not only are they safer, they cut faster and last longer than cheap wheels.
