2 80lb labs, ive had these 2 mos or more.we fetch ever am n pm. They've taken a beating but held up well. Smart cap holding the electronics. Put some Teflon thread tape oin it and they withstand water too.Update. I've bought these at least 5 times. They're not dog proof but my guys have fairly soft mouths. They're not water proof but hit em with Teflon tape on the battery cap threads n a thin Bead of silicone around the light unit and they'll withstand submersion. They fly very well. They light well. Batteries last long, Price is reasonable and the customer service is terrific
