To be honest, given the very reasonable price, we had very low expectations. It turns out that this product far exceeded even our wildest expectations. We had to drive home from Boston, Massachusetts with two more passengers than we arrived. To make room for them, we emptied our suitcases of all our clothes, threw our clothes in a pile of black garbage bags, stuck them in this roof rack and hoped for the best. Rain was forecast. But what we didn't know was that we would be driving the whole 14 hours of the journey home in the pouring rain. (These showers occur when you're driving with hazard protection on and slowing down a lot because you can't see more than 10 feet in front of your car.) the storm was moving on. This thing didn't move. When we got home and unloaded, we were amazed to find that not even the smallest drop of rain got into the trunk. Everything was completely dry inside. Wonderful. Best $25 we've ever spent. We also bought a non-slip mat and a few extra straps to secure everything. Highly recommended! Saved our trip home!
