Loved it at first but finish doesn't stay on

I installed it about 10 months ago. Installation was easy! I bought this because my last bronze tap was discolored and I couldn't restore the finish. It was a cheap faucet so I decided to spend the extra money on a Moen faucet to replace it. I'm having the same issues, but the base trim is rubbing off/not getting clean. Very disappointed that it didn't even last a year as I thought Moen was worth the extra money!
