ideal for water-based markers!
I love these small blocks - not only for acrylic but for many other media. They're actually great for water-based markers if you use a brush and water to mix the ink. They also work great with Inktense pencils and watercolor pencils (especially if you paint over them with white paint, turning them into beautiful gouache-like pastels). The only downside is that they're single-sided - the coating and texture is only on the front of each sheet of paper, so you can't flip them over and use them for pattern sketches or just material testing.
