I didn't do much research before purchasing this product but I figured it HAD to be better than the cheap mandolin I bought at the grocery store or ROSS or something like that. . The reason I picked up the mandolin was to make vegetable chips e.g. E.g. sweet potatoes, zucchini. My old one didn't cut them thin enough and my chips were very bad. It has a thickness setting that I can actually get thin enough for fries, and so I can make scalloped potatoes. I didn't even know I could get other lures, but they're pretty cool too. The only thing I've used (and will probably use the most) is a grater. I grate fresh parmesan when making risotto and using a basket as a catch compares very neatly to using a tower grater. Can't wait to dice the onion! (I didn't think of risotto 😬) I also like the storage. All the little pieces complement each other beautifully! I just wish the two nozzles you can attach to the drip tray were a better match for storage.
