Review on πŸ”« BOSTITCH SX1838K: Premium 18 Gauge Narrow Crown Stapler for Efficient Fastening by John Pound

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best stapler on the market

The first thing I did when I received this stapler was put in 1 1/2 inch long Senco 1/4 inch slotted crown staples and prick them in hard, dry spruce. All drowned, no problem. I have not yet used Bostitch 5/32 Crown Brackets. Rest assured this is a 1/4 inch crown stapler. I bought it because it's one of the few that has a dry fire lock. I get very annoyed at having to constantly check the log to see what's left and much more annoyed at having to go back through empty holes. With this you just shoot all the way and then reload. Love it! The belt hook was another must have for me. I've recently installed over 100 pieces of cedar fence board using stainless steel staples (1/4" crown of course) and this hook comes in really handy for saving time. This stapler allows you to clear paper jams without tools, although it works differently than most ".Rather than detaching the front half of the nose, you just open the magazine and the back half moves with it, exposing any jams. I didn't have to use it, but it's a nice feature. The oil-free mode is also very handy. Only downside for me is the cover. It's strong enough but there is very little room for extra staples. The tool itself is definitely 5 stars.
