So expensive. - Nailers and Staplers

Very expensive. I bought it and paid for two. I don't know how to fix this and I don't have time to uncover the obscure procedure, if there is one. I could go to my local port freight and buy 6 of what they offer and there would still be working units to leave to my kids.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Reliability

Great stapler with very useful features.

The soft tip makes it much easier to steer close to edges. This comes in handy when tacking into 1/2" thick plywood, which I often do with 1/4" bottom boxes. Also, the depth gauge works well enough that I don't drive staples into that thin sheet of plywood. And if there is a lot of sewing, the automatic trigger speeds up the process. Great little stapler with all the features you need.

  • Very good value for money

Got thousands of staples in a few hours

I used it to put a 1/4 inch thick pad under vinyl floors. a few hours and a few thousand paperclips i was done. I made the staples just below the surface but not too deep for them to go through. The vinyl is nice and flat with no bulges. I've used a hammer and screwdriver to sink a few where I didn't hold the stapler tight enough or the staples hit a nail in the ground. Sometimes the backing or subfloor can't match and the staples can go deeper , but that's fine as long as it's good as there's…

Simple and reliable in one power tool

I recently bought this stapler to do my own floor stapling work. I have a shallow basement with a dirty floor and I have 15,000 staples to remove. It went about 1/3 the job and there wasn't a single problem. No jams (as some others have reported) and very easy to reload in tight spaces. This gun rolled in the mud due to limited space and still works well. I can't believe this job would be without him. I bought Spot Nails Spot Nails 1804PG 1/2 leg braces similar to the Bostitch series SX5035…

Big improvement over my cheaper

Very nice. Thread about 10,000 1-1/2 inch staples through, maybe 5-10 proud staples and no jams. Sometimes the mechanism that determines what firing mode you're in seems to fail, and you manage to fire twice. However, I am usually picky. This is an awesome weapon. Incidentally, the top of the piston/actuator is now all metal and the air outlet is on the back next to the gun air hose connection. Don't underestimate how big this small improvement is. An old plastic deflector won't be damaged if…

Yes, it shoots 1/4 " slotted staples.

I don't know why Bostitch sells this tool as it uses 7/32" crown staples - the metric spec for a 6mm crown tool - and 6mm is _inter_ 7/32" and 1/4". And Stanley/Black&Decker (Bostitch's parent company) sells variants of the same tool under their PorterCable and DeWalt brand names as "1/4" crown staplers. Marketing. Works great with 1/4" (non Bostitch) braces. I love this tool. It's well balanced, comfortable to use, stable with a variety of materials, easy to load, easy to place staples where I

Best stapler on the market

The first thing I did when I received this stapler was put in 1 1/2 inch long Senco 1/4 inch slotted crown staples and prick them in hard, dry spruce. All drowned, no problem. I have not yet used Bostitch 5/32 Crown Brackets. Rest assured this is a 1/4 inch crown stapler. I bought it because it's one of the few that has a dry fire lock. I get very annoyed at having to constantly check the log to see what's left and much more annoyed at having to go back through empty holes. With this you just…
