This is not a genuine Samsung remote control. And the quality of the materials isn't up to the same standards as Samsung, which is made in Indonesia. The material it is made of is of lower quality, not as stiff and not as thick. I don't know much about electronics because I didn't understand it. The remote works as it should at the moment but I ordered two of these in case I have small children at home. The other one isn't broken, it was the original, I just can't find it. So that's one of the reasons for ordering two, but now I see the build quality of the remote and I'm glad I ordered two of these.
