Review on πŸ”§ Precision Tool Home Drill: Micro 0.3-1.6mm Plastic Drilling Efficiency by Jonathan Wilson

Dull bits and bad cartridge

I bought these to poke holes in plastic miniatures and they are awful. For starters, the body isn't shaped properly and the third largest bit is too big for its slot. Not only is it definitely out of place, I compared it to two large pieces and they are larger. It caught on the plastic cover when I opened it and I had to use force the first time. I hand sharpened the slot so I can now open the case but the drill bit still doesn't slide cleanly like the others. The drills are almost flat. They wander everywhere unless you already have a pilot hole almost as big as them, and even then it takes forever as they aren't sharp at all. I've hand sharpened some of the larger ones to give them more taper, which helped somewhat, but I can't make the smaller ones. The other big problem is the chuck for the bat. The large end is great for the largest bit pairs in the 1.4mm+ range, but all smaller bits require a smaller chuck that has the slots cut down the center so your bits will rotate about the pivot when you use the Turn vise. The only good thing about this product is that I didn't spend a lot of money on it.
