Absolute perfection for my 20 long gravel packs. Operates the biological filter and aerates through the included (and adjustable) venturi mechanism. The entire unit is adjustable - not just the venturi tube, but also the pump power and throw angle. I use it partially in the top of the intake pipe under the gravel pack (it mounts on the side of the tank or can stand alone). Alone and with the maintenance cleaning, the aquarium is healthy and beautiful (even living plants - yes, that is possible with an installation under gravel). I needed a replacement after 15 years and a thunderstorm/electric surge killed it. . I expect many years of use with the new one and have two in stock in case this model is discontinued. It is so good. I never want to be without him.
