I bought a 4G modem Megafon M150-1. The old Zyxel Keenetic lived with him, but unstable, for 10 days he struggled with support, changed, reconfigured - it did not help. I bought a TP Link 3420. It set up right away, but rebooted after running the test on Speedtest. Net, the support did not help, although it answered quickly. I got tired, went to the edge of the city, bought a microtic, inserted a modem (before that I switched it to 4G Modem only mode) - he decided, registered the Beeline APN (the modem is unlocked and the SIM card is beeline) - he connected. And then the dancing began. I had a Linux networking background as a student. But I could not set up Internet distribution through the raised modem interface. I googled it, just in case I changed it with the latest firmware. Everything turned out to be simple. You need to go to the IP-Firewall-NAT settings and enable masquerading through the modem interface. ALL. It works stably, the uptimes are large, the speed does not cut (TP Link cut before hanging). I further configured the NTP Client so that the time is correct (yes, nothing is configured in this router by default), Watchdog Timer (pings the Google server 8.8. zaglyuchit), made a fine adjustment of WiFi under my conditions, reduced the transmitter power from 1 watt to 0.1 (decibels from 27 to 17). Very satisfied. I am sure that now I will forget about the setup and instability of the 3G-4G router until the moment when I want to wind up something new for my home network. Well, I will also need to configure my backup ZTE MF823 Beeline modem. Judging by the info on the network, everything is configured. By the way, can I connect two modems through the hub so that there are two channels - the main and the backup. I'm sure Mikrotik can handle it!
