I have a one year old rescuer - retriever, german shepherd, beagle, saint bernard. (I've never had a dog that barked like that. I think that's the dog in him.) He had a habit of barking uncontrollably when ignored or when I left his spots, like in the backyard while I was tending the plants him poured of the house. Area. (rolls eyes) The first day he wore it, the app recorded over 100 barks, which I think is correct given his "old habits". The fact that it didn't stop him from barking told me it was set too low. Within the first week I learned that the tone and hum had no effect on him so I had to resort to a stimulator and find level 7 to get things done. Sounds harsh, but once he set it up properly it only took him 3 days to "catch" it and now he barks less than five times a day and rarely gets hit. Don't let your dog wear a collar while wearing it, it will cause false correction from clinking marks. And of course don't force him to wear it when he's playing, where he'll be corrected for barking and growling while he's having fun. :-) But at home it worked wonders!
