I have another light ACCO brand that didn't have a quick release and I love the length of the refill and the clip never came loose but it wasn't a quick release. It had a thumbscrew (and an extra one included). I thought I would click 'buy' again but I didn't and the new one had a quick release buckle and I don't like it like the other one. I was wondering why you need a quick release off the bike since you don't need to remove the charging mount. also the light dims after 145 min. So I think the batteries are not as good as last time, also they have an indication that the user can replace them if necessary.
