They are definitely made for the RV/boat as they are about half the size of a regular home and as a reading light they fit perfectly under our RV bed. The blue "night light" feature is great and also illuminates the USB charging port so you can see where it is in the dark. The light is bright, installation was fairly easy with the help of my wife. The only complaints are that the screws are a bit small and there is very limited access to the set screw when you're ready to tighten it. I wish it had larger mounting screws because the Phillips head I used on my impact wrench was too big and I would have to screw them in by hand. Luckily we had enough spare screws. Because the set screw is so close to the top of the bracket, with a flush mount (ours was under our wall cabinets) you couldn't use the included Allen key to tighten the set screw because you didn't have room. . I had to use one that was twice as long. I wouldn't recommend removing the set screw entirely, just unscrewing it just enough to separate the main body from the mounting bracket, requiring fewer turns to tighten it once it's where you want it.
