I'm happy with the metal dustpan, it has a long handle that gives me a more comfortable distance from the task and good leverage for picking up piles of debris rising up. It also seems to shed material well so it doesn't build up. The metal is strong so good for work and has a flat front edge in case I need to clean the sides or bottom of the litter box. The foam handle is comfortable to hold. I recommend it, but it's definitely heavier than a regular plastic shovel for those with a weak wrist or hand.
