So I chose this thermometer because: 1. I wanted something with 4 probes.2. I wanted something that didn't rely on my phone as a receiver.3. I wanted something with good wireless range.4. I wanted something at a reasonable price. I've used it a few times and can honestly say I'm very happy with it. First of all, this is a very professional looking device that comes very well packaged in a nice carrying case. Each of the very durable probes is stored separately on a separate holder when not in use. And as an added bonus it comes with a large flesh injector which to be honest I haven't tried yet but looks very solid and reliable. But let's get to the important part, how it works. I found all 4 probes unmistakably right out of the box. The displays on both the transmitter and the receiver are easy to read and you immediately understand what is going on. I love the fact that each probe is color coded on each end so there is no guesswork as to what temperature of the item is shown in each box on the display. The receiver unit is quick to respond to temperature changes and I haven't had any wireless range issues anywhere in my house when using it on my BBQ. The operation is quite simple and intuitive. It has preset temperatures for different types of meat and doneness, and of course you can program your own temperature for each probe. When the meat reaches the set temperature, it will beep for each probe, or you can program a timed alarm. It comes with clamps so the sensors can be used to measure the ambient temperature of your grill, smoker or oven. The only thing I would add is a low ambient temp alarm in addition to a high temp if you need to smoke something on the grill and add charcoal. But for me it's not a problem. Overall I think this is a really good wireless thermometer and great value for money. Highly recommended!
