Review on Monroe 911540: Advanced Reflex Monotube Shock Absorber for Enhanced Performance by Jeff Kern

Direct replacement for TJ and LJ Wrangler shock absorbers. This review reflects my experience installing it on a 2005 LJ. Parts: Includes top mount bushings, washers and nuts. The lower support rod pin is pre-installed - no need to knock out the one on the old shock! Reuses the nuts and bolts from the lower brackets. Important: Fits standard Wranglers with ground clearance. Not suitable for raised jeeps. Still, it's a great upgrade from the stock LJ suspension. If you're reading this you've probably spent the last few days trying to find a replacement shock that's a step up from the OEM - think this is a good choice. A significant improvement over worn OEM shock absorbers. Increased stability on all road surfaces, reduced body roll in curves. Harder ride but not as unsafe.
