The listing image shows a light that produces a strong, intense purple glow. Fantastic, I thought, because that's exactly what I need. , a washed out pastel purple glow that was so disappointing I thought the first two bulbs I ordered must have been from a defective batch. But when I sent them back for exchange I got the same result. The company's green flame light is excellent in comparison. , and their blue flame light is pretty good too. But try something else if you want to render images with rich purple light, as it doesn't even come close.
- Safe alternative. Don't worry if the bulb breaks or needs to be recycled. Unlike fluorescent, incandescent and halogen lamps, these LED lamps contain no mercury and do not emit harmful gases into the air.
