I've never used a flush top but have made a curved top for a dresser and bed. After creating the shape, creating a smooth curve out of 3/4" thick maple plywood worked well. Bonus. I made two crib end panels out of two pieces of 1/4" laminated maple plywood about 7/16" thick .One was square;there was none.Decided to use the square endplate as a template;placed the non-square endplate on top of the square endplate;squeezed them together.Using the flushing nozzle I was able to level the non-square plate.
