I really like this rice cooker because it's made of stainless steel and unlike my old one it doesn't rust. This rice cooker is a good weight and even though I have weak, arthritic hands, I can use it comfortably. I love the silicone pads that help hold me in place and the fact that the kit comes with three discs for different purposes. I use my puller with the smallest disc when extruding shirataki noodles using White Cat's recipe on Youtube. A complete recipe fits at once, so you only have to do one pass when closing. As other reviewers have pointed out, the sleeve holding the disc case pops out during the opening stroke. Just practice putting your thumb on the rim of the insert when you open the rice cooker and it will stay down. If it works well with shirataki noodles, I'm sure it will work well with boiled potatoes too. For those making cauliflower rice, be aware that this tool is not for you. Because cauliflower is fibrous, it is roasted in a food processor before cooking.
