. Does what it's supposed to and gives me 0ppm water versus my 270ppm tap water. However, I also bought this unit for its 75 gallon per day rating and figured I could get 10 gallons in about 3 hours. However, it takes about 3 1/2 hours to get 5 gallons, so preparing enough water for a water change becomes an ordeal for the whole day, which is annoying unless you start early in the morning since you have to wait. when you want to stop filling. This was needed for my reef tank so I'm slower tolerating it than gpd and my system will continue to use it as it's comfortable and gives me good water. In the future I would spend more on a unit with a significantly higher gpd rating when I upgrade to a larger tank and need more water for a water change.
